CQ-collocation BEMs for 3D sound-hard scattering problems
Published in SSRN (preprint), 2025
In this paper, we investigate the application of a Lubich-based convolution quadrature combined with collocation boundary element methods for 3D exterior time-domain scattering problems involving sound-hard obstacles. We explore both nodal and ε-collocation strategies, focusing on their accuracy, efficiency and stability. Numerical experiments demonstrate accuracy comparable to that of the Lubich-Galerkin method and assess the unconditional stability of the collocation scheme, provided that boundary integrals are evaluated with sufficient precision.
